I majored in Art at Rio Hondo College in Whittier, Ca and after moving to San Diego County in 1981 began designing for Rene D. Lyon Co. This company imported Christmas decorations from Taiwan, Korea and Hong Kong. We spent January through August designing our lines. September and October we worked in the Orient ensuring the designs and colors were correct and precise in every detail and buying the line for the following year. In 1994 I decided to return to my first love - painting. I started with watercolor and never left the medium. I took my art to countless outdoor shows in San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Santa Barbara Counties. I am a member of the Lompoc Valley Art Association, Rancho Bernardo Art Association, past member of the prestigious San Diego Watercolor Society, Del Mar Art Center and past board member of the Escondido Art Association. I have entered and won blue ribbons in many competitions, including first place at the San Diego County Fair in 2006 for "Raven" and honorable mention in 2007 for "Freedom's Hero". My art can be found in many collections both nationally and internationally. I happily reside on the central coast of California in Lompoc. The weather, the light and the landscape is certainly in my unbiased opinion, the best this planet has to offer an artist. |
